Walk/Stop!

An odd problem is plaguing New York City crosswalks. Many of the crosswalks show the walk and stop sign simultaneously. I took the shot below on the corner of Broome and Grand last night in SoHo. Talk about confusing!

Levi's Photo Workshop

The Levi's Photo Workshop is in it's tenth and final week here in New York City. At one level it's the product of Levi's "We're all Workers" ad campaign. But over the course of ten weeks it's become much more: Community!

For those of us lucky enough to be regulars, friendships have developed, artistic inspirations have sparked, and a great many Christmas presents have been printed.

If you have not made it down yet, head on down to 18 Wooster Street, just North of Canal Street in SOHO. Sunday it be nothing more than a sweet memory.

Everyone knows that the Big Apple has it all when it comes to art and entertainment. But what most people don't know is just how easy it is to go out in New York City for free or close to it.

This blog is for all those people who want to have a great time, see great shows, listen to the best music and not spend a dime. So stick around.

Looking for a cheap date? Look no further. Arlo & Esme host a great stand-up comedy show every Sunday at 8pm with just about all the free jell-o shots you can handle, as long as you say please. If you enjoy stand-up comedy you'll be in for a treat.

Mieka Pauley

Mieka Pauley is easily one of the most talented singer songwriters in New York City. Tomorrow New Yorkers are in for a treat! Mieka will be playing two shows.

The first is at the Waltz-Astoria at 8:00pm. Click the link for more details.

The second show is at Rockwood Music Hall at 11:00pm. Rockwood is one of my favorite venues for finding amazing artists. It's a place you can stop in nearly any night of the week and find amazingly talented artists.

If you're looking for some great music definitely try and catch Mieka Pauley tomorrow. You won't be disappointed.
